Description: |
Considered
by many to be the best hollow point in the world, the Hydra-Shok is standard
with hundreds of police forces, security agencies, and private citizens.
The most unusual aspect of the Hydra-Shok bullet design is the little lead
post which sits at the base of the hollow point. When the bullet comes in
contact with a soft medium, such as ballistic gelatin or internal organs,
the post directs fluid against the inside of the hollow point, forcing it
to expand reliably. But when the bullet strikes a hard surface such as a
barrier, the post helps keep the nose from getting clogged up, which would
otherwise limit expansion once the barrier had been penetrated. |

ammunition you can purchase. Ballistically however the Vector bullet is
far superior to conventional military tracer rounds. By using far less tracer
composition and inserting it along the axis of the bullet rather than in
the base, stability (and consequently accuracy) is much more constant through
bullet flight. |

Description: |
The
5.7x28mm cartridge was developed in the mid-1980s by FN Herstal for their
P90 Personal Defense Weapon. The objective was to produce a new generation
close defense weapon system for users who cannot normally carry any weapon
other than a pistol but who require something more powerful than the usual
9mm NATO cartridge. The SS190 bullet will penetrate a standard M1 steel
helmet at 150m range and 48 layers of Kevlar at over 50m. The stopping power
is claimed to be three times that of the 9mm NATO; the bullet does not fragment
but gives up its energy very rapidly on impact. The round is effective up
to a range of 150m. |

reliably in semiautomatics. This round is specifically recommended by Magnum

set into a hard block of denatured hexogen. A percussion primer and booster

seated in the rifling when the main propellant begins burning, preventing
a leak of gas around the bullet and ensuring consistent and uniform chamber
pressures from round to round. Comparable in performance to the 5.56mm NATO,

Kurz cartridge, the 7.62x39mm was approved for use in 1943 and made its
official military debut in 1945 with the SKS carbine. It is the most popular
small arms cartridge in the Eastern world, not having been supplanted by
the 5.45x39.5mm cartridge to the same degree as the 5.56mm NATO cartridge
in the West. The Czechoslovak M43 cartridge modeled here differs from its
Russian equivalent by using a lead core rather than a mild steel one. |

Description: |
The
40x46mm family of low-pressure grenades act on a high-low pressure principle
to propel the projectile. An annealed brass cup in the center of the cartridge
base acts as a high-pressure chamber, containing the propellant. Upon ignition,
the expanding gasses rupture the vent holes around the propellant cup and
flood into the low-pressure chamber, launching the projectile. The M406
is a high explosive cartridge designed to inflict personnel casualties from
ground burst effect. |
